Saturday I went into the store that is a girl’s biggest crutch apart from Victoria’s Secret…. Sephora. I knew from the beginning what I was walking in to purchase and surprisingly I stuck with it! It’s about time! These are two products I’ve had my eye on for a while now. KAT VON D Shade + Light Face Contour Refillable Palette retails for $49.00. ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Glow Kit retails for $40.00. I have had the chance to work with both and I am in love! It can definitely be tricky when working with contour shades not to overdue or make it to where it seems like you have literally just rubbed dirt on your face. There are three dark shades in the Kat Von D palette and they all blend beautifully. So far I have used the light shades on the Kat Von D palette on my under eyes and on the bridge of my nose, rather than highlighting parts of my face. The Anastasia palette contains four highlighters and all are impeccable. I definitely reccomend using a fan brush for the Anastasia highlighters and a duo fiber brush when working with the bronzers in Kat Von D. Brushes are a crucial part when working with makeup. It’s not just the product itself it’s the tools you use also that depict the outcome! I give both palettes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It isn’t a necessity to have both in your collection, but both are great products if you are looking to buy!
Happy Holidays! I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas with their families! Below are pics of goodies I was blessed to receive this year. A video will be posted on my YouTube page going over the same thing! I will include links to what I can! I personally love seeing what people get for Christmas. So let me know what Santa brought you this year! 🎁
I purchased the Kylie Cosmetics Burgundy Palette shortly after purchasing the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. I encountered a bit of a problem with both. Not anything bad on the product themselves, but an allergic reaction on my part. It seems that the pigments used to create the Burgundy type shades stir a reaction on my eyes. I could not figure out what was happening. My eyes would look like they had been stained and then begin to crust over almost is if they were wind chapped. Finally figuring out what the issue was I had purchased two gorgeous palettes that I can not wear consecutively on a day to day basis. I still can wear certain shades without a problem, even the burgundy shades. Sadly, those just can not be an everyday thing. Nevertheless, this palette is my favorite. I love the colors and combinations of mattes and shimmers. If I had to choose I believe I would pick this palette over the Modern Renaissance. Both are great palettes you can’t go wrong with in your collection. The shades are amazing! I did find that a few of the matte shades such as Burgundy and Almond tend to fall a tad on the chalky side. I don’t find a problem with not having a mirror included in the palette. I think it’s simple, cute, tiny, and compacted. Every shade has good payoff. The only drawback for some may be the supposed highlight shade. It’s not a super light shade if that’s what you are expecting for your brow bone. If you are trying to decide if this palette is worth the money, my vote is yes! Below I’ve inserted pictures of the packaging and the palette itself, including swatches! Be sure to scroll down and take a look for yourself! Xoxo Macey 💋💋💋🛒 Kylie Cosmetics
I am so stoked and obsessed with this palette! It is absolutely perfect for Fall. It’s Fall in a palette packed into little squares. It comes with 14 eyeshadows, ft. matte and shimmer. Also with a double-ended brush included. If you love pinks this is for you! If you have blue or green eyes then these colors will make your eyes pop! They swatch beautifully and I can’t wait to create so many looks! Totally recommend!!!!
