Bedroom Renovation

So I recently changed up my room a little bit! I originally wanted to repaint and start fresh. My walls are an off white so they can match with most anything, therefore I chose to leave them as they are. I did however purchase new bedding! Before I had a white duvet comforter. Me and white are not a good mix! I couldn’t seem to do anything but get stuff on it. I loved it, but it was so hard to manage. I searched forever on Pinterest and any store it led me to. I ended up coming across Urban Outfitters. I had narrowed it down to two duvets and chose this tie dyed piece! It took no time to come in. I also ordered the matching pillow cases. Next, I have a grey sheet and two other pillows with grey pillow cases on them. The grey contrasts so well with the bedding! I always have pictures hanging up in my room. They were originally above my bed, but I wanted to do something different this time. They were first on my wall, however today I moved them into the corner where the droop off the wall. I bought a vinyl piece from Hobby Lobby and it is centered on my bathroom wall that you see as soon as you walk in. I didn’t know it would be so easy to put up or I would have purchased more! My favorite part of my room is where my windows are. I bought sheer curtains and a black rod from a Walmart. I also bought four boxes of inside lights from there as well. I originally saw this idea on YouTube and it was being used as a headboard, but I put a little spin to it. It was super easy to do! All you need are some clear wall hooks to hang the lights. I will attach the video that I drew inspiration from down below! So excited how everything is coming together and can’t wait to add more. 💗

Disney World Senior Trip

A week of living in a fairytale! I could not have asked for a better trip. I am now madly in love with Disney ✨

Closing out Senior Year

Yesterday we shut the door to our High school careers. Literally, we shut our lockers for the last time at Carbon Hill High School. I can’t believe it’s here. I can’t believe I’ll walk, get my diploma, and throw my cap in the air Friday night. It’s surreal. One thing I’ve learned over the past four years is to try and treasure every bit of it. I know at times I wished it away and now I look back and think “why?” Your four years of high school will come to an end soon enough. There’s no need to rush it. There’s also no need in stressing. The test you’ve been studying for you’ll take and it’ll be over with, you’ll finish the research paper you’ve been putting off, and you’ll pass that class (hopefully) even if by an inch. It all comes to pass. Everything that seemed so huge at one point I see as so minuscule now. We always talked about “senior year” it was coming and what we do and how we would be, and we’ve never quite stoppped talking about the infamous “freshman year.” I feel like the Class of 2017 left a mark. We left a spirit that I don’t see in anyone else. Maybe it’s because it’s how we were raised. Our seniors, our freshman year, taught us well. They showed us to go all out. That’s exactly what we did. If I were to describe our class it would be: family. Everyone around us can see it too. We care. We love. We scream at the top of our lungs for everything and everyone. If one thing is for certain, that same spirit will take us far in life. Dedication, a heart for those around us, and the blue blood running through our veins. I’m proud to stand by my 90+ classmates on Graduation and say we did it. We did exactly what we wanted to do. We showed them how it’s done. We are “That Class” forever and always and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Thank you Carbon Hill. You’ve been everything I could ask for.

From senior pep rally early in the morning with hundreds of tears, to crazy weather, to our street Dance, and then Waffle House. I couldn’t have asked for a better night. ✨♥️

Abba Father

This song is so powerful. It overwhelms me with love from the Father, each and every part of it.

Link To Song- Abba
“Abba, Abba

I have a Father who really loves me

Abba, Abba

He’ll never leave me and never forsake me
Ever since I was born again

I have been raptured in

So undeserving and yet in spite of my sin

He loved me and He called me His

I am His very own

Through His love I’ve been changed

Now I proclaim
Abba, Abba

I have a Father who really loves me

Abba, Abba

He’ll never leave me and never forsake me
Ever since I’ve been baptized

I’ve taken on the name of Christ

He gave me my identity

And now I’m free

From every generational curse

Because of Him it’s been reversed

I am joint heirs with Jesus

Now I proclaim
Abba, Abba

I have a Father who really loves me

Abba, Abba

He’ll never leave me and never forsake me
Abba, Abba

I have a Father who really loves me

Abba, Abba

He’ll never leave me and never forsake me
Abba Father loves me

Abba Father holds me

Abba Father keeps me

Abba Father takes care of me

Abba Father protects me

Abba Father directs me

Abba Father provides for me

He’ll never ever leave me
Abba Father loves me

Abba Father holds me

Abba Father keeps me

Abba Father takes care of me

Abba Father protects me

Abba Father directs me

Abba Father provides for me

He’ll never ever leave me
Abba Father loves me

Abba Father holds me

Abba Father keeps me

Abba Father takes care of me

Abba Father protects me

Abba Father directs me

Abba Father provides for me

He’ll never ever leave me
Abba, Abba

I have a Father who really loves me

Abba, Abba

He’ll never leave me and never forsake me
Abba, Abba

I have a Father who really loves me

Abba, Abba

He’ll never leave me and never forsake me”

Senior Skip Day

Today was our senior skip day! 🎉 It was pretty clear to all of us that the Zoo had to be the place go. We all met up at Chick Fil A and then car pooled our way to the Birmingham Zoo. Our first encounter was the Giraffe Feeding Zone, possibly my favorite part! We had the privilege of feeling Mr. Jalil. Quoting the sweet worker who helped us if you haven’t fed a giraffe before “What have you been doing all your life?” My next favorite part, the flamingos! They didn’t care to be fed today, they wanted lots of sleep as most of us did too. Next we hit up the Lorikeet Feeding. A lorikeet landed on my head as soon as we got inside! It bonded with me I guess because it didn’t leave for quite some time. It even crawled down to the end of my hat and looked down at me… (I sound a lot calmer than I was at the time.) There were so many great exhibits and animals at the zoo. Including the Komoda Dragon who just couldn’t seem to get one little mouse, maybe he did eventually. After the Zoo, we found the cutest burger joint, Twisted Root BurgerDelicious! 🍔 When you ordered the ticket you received had unusual names on them such as: Ferris Bueller and Gwen Stafani. Our ticket said “Eminem/Slim Shady.” When they called our order out they said “Will the real Slim Shady please stand up.” I found that to be hilarious, almost as much as the holla back girl. Then we were off to swim. Which to make clear, was not the warmest. However, it was a blast as well. Especially playing hot potato, or me attempting to play successfully. Tanner and I finished the day with breadsticks and Netflix, and today has been my definition of a perfect day. I’m very grateful knowing I’ll have this memory to look back on forever. Happy skip day everyone! ☀️
