This morning God showed me a vision of a crown of thorns placed in the middle of this empty white space and surrounding it were many other crowns. They’re were all different shapes and sizes. They had different jewels on them. They were scattered everywhere. I felt God say that we are apart of His kingdom. We are heirs to him. We have royalty running through our veins. All we have to do is pick up our crown and claim the victory. Claim the Power of Jesus. Later on in prayer I began to see that each crown had a different word on it. Such as: joy, hope, peace, comfort, forgiveness. God is saying whatever it is you need pick up your crown and wear it. You have the victory and power.
“Rash language cuts and maims, but there is healing in the words of the wise.”
“Truth lasts; lies are here today, gone tomorrow.”Proverbs 12:18-19
Proverbs 12:18-19 MSG
When a person is careless with their words reacting before thinking can be a result. The phrase “Think before you speak,” comes to mind. If you’re rash with your words, it’s the complete opposite of that phrase. Words are powerful. The book of James talks about your mouth being a rudder. One part of that scripture even says “Do good and bad water flow from the same spring?” The same mouth we use to speak highly of others is the same mouth we use when we choose tear them down. Proverbs is full of wisdom. Literally, the word wisdom is used on several occasions. The text says “Rash language cuts and maims.” Our words can cut into people. You can do much damage with the language that comes out of your mouth. BUT you can also bring healing. You can uplift and edify the body of Christ. When also speaking about our words and mouth, truth and lies are important. This scripture says “Truth lasts; lies are here today, gone tomorrow.” Lies are temporary, the affects are long term, but the truth always comes out. The truth last forever. Lies are so pointless from the get go, but in some form or fashion, we tell them everyday. Our words have meaning and truth. We shouldn’t abuse that by trying to altercate lies. Don’t waste time on a lie. The truth is as good as it gets. Be careful with your words, with what you say and how you say them.
Today was our senior skip day! 🎉 It was pretty clear to all of us that the Zoo had to be the place go. We all met up at Chick Fil A and then car pooled our way to the Birmingham Zoo. Our first encounter was the Giraffe Feeding Zone, possibly my favorite part! We had the privilege of feeling Mr. Jalil. Quoting the sweet worker who helped us if you haven’t fed a giraffe before “What have you been doing all your life?” My next favorite part, the flamingos! They didn’t care to be fed today, they wanted lots of sleep as most of us did too. Next we hit up the Lorikeet Feeding. A lorikeet landed on my head as soon as we got inside! It bonded with me I guess because it didn’t leave for quite some time. It even crawled down to the end of my hat and looked down at me… (I sound a lot calmer than I was at the time.) There were so many great exhibits and animals at the zoo. Including the Komoda Dragon who just couldn’t seem to get one little mouse, maybe he did eventually. After the Zoo, we found the cutest burger joint, Twisted Root Burger. Delicious! 🍔 When you ordered the ticket you received had unusual names on them such as: Ferris Bueller and Gwen Stafani. Our ticket said “Eminem/Slim Shady.” When they called our order out they said “Will the real Slim Shady please stand up.” I found that to be hilarious, almost as much as the holla back girl. Then we were off to swim. Which to make clear, was not the warmest. However, it was a blast as well. Especially playing hot potato, or me attempting to play successfully. Tanner and I finished the day with breadsticks and Netflix, and today has been my definition of a perfect day. I’m very grateful knowing I’ll have this memory to look back on forever. Happy skip day everyone! ☀️
“I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is He is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life He has for His followers, oh, the utter extravagance of His work in us who trust Him—endless energy, boundless strength!” Ephesians 1:15-19 MSG
God has a plan for your life. He wants you to flourish. He has created you and only one you. You have a purpose and a destiny. No one can fulfill the plan for your life but you. There is no other you. You are one of a kind. No one else can do what you are called to do in life. That is why you are so important. The world needs you. You are the missing piece to the puzzle. You are special. He gives you energy and strength to take on each day of your journey. Prosper! Be a victor! Be focused! The same words in the book of Esther apply to you also:
“If you keep silent at this time, liberation and deliverance will come to the Jewish people from another place, but you and your father’s house will be destroyed. Who knows, perhaps you have come to your royal position for such a time as this.” Esther 4:14 HCSB
Who knows? Maybe your time is now. Don’t miss it by giving up or turning away from who God has called you to be. Have endurance, be persistent. There is no other you. The world needs you. It needs your creativity. It needs your talent. It needs your work ethic. It needs everything you have to offer, you are not a waste. You are everything. God needs you. He needs you be the real you. He needs you to step into your calling. You will change circumstances and lives. God needs your help. If you are who has planned for you to be, then you’re working in His plan. He needs your help in completing the works that He has for the world.
The same God who did it then is doing it now! In Jasper! In Walker County!
“But now take another look. I’m going to give this city a thorough renovation, working a true healing inside and out. I’m going to show them life whole, life brimming with blessings. I’ll restore everything that was lost to Jasper and Walker County. I’ll build everything back as good as new. I’ll scrub them clean from the dirt they’ve done against me. I’ll forgive everything they’ve done wrong, forgive all their rebellions. And Jasper will be a center of joy and praise and glory for all the countries on earth. They’ll get reports on all the good I’m doing for her. They’ll be in awe of the blessings I am pouring on her.” Jeremiah 33:6-9
“Yes, GOD ’s Message: ‘You’re going to look at this place, these empty and desolate towns of Walker County and streets of Jasper, and say, “A wasteland. Unlivable. Not even a dog could live here.” But the time is coming when you’re going to hear laughter and celebration, marriage festivities, people exclaiming, “Thank GOD -of-the-Angel-Armies. He’s so good! His love never quits,” as they bring thank offerings into GOD ’s Temple. I’ll restore everything that was lost in this land. I’ll make everything as good as new.’ I, GOD, say so.” Jeremiah 33:6-11
I attended my first class as a Worship Life College student tonight. I am on the entrepreneur track and I am learning how to start my own business. I feel so empowered and eager for more! As I always do after leaving Worship Life. I’m so blessed to have these people in my life. I can’t wait to see where this takes me. I know so many things are to come! I pray that I grow spiritually. I’ve grown so much in the past two years, now I’m ready to push myself even harder! WOOOOH PUMPED!!!!!!!
These words are so powerful. You have something beautiful inside of you. Everyone does, something different and unique. Something one of a kind. No one has the same beauty as you. God has placed something inside of you only you can carry and share with the world, don’t hold it in. “You brought to life the part of me I thought had died” Your life is not over. Your gifts and talents are not dead. Your spirit is very much alive. He restores our hopeless hearts and makes us feel like we can, in a sense, “breath again.” Take a deep breathe and see what God has in store for you. How amazing is he, always around, bringing life back into order. He has saved us from ourselves. I am not dead. My God is not dead. He is alive in me.
“Get it together That’s what I say to me
I put on the pressure
You could do better
Be who you’re supposed to be
But that’s when You came in
Right when I needed You
You said all of the things that I was believing
Not one of them were true
You lifted my head up
I was keeping my head down
I didn’t know love
But I do now
You stood right there and then You broke apart the lies
And You told me
I had something beautiful inside
You brought to life the part of me I thought had died
‘Cause You stood right there until I saw me through Your eyes
So this is living”
I’m currently studying the book of Psalms, inparticually David’s Psalm. I’m picking it apart and interpreting it how I understand it.
“Look at this: look Who got picked by GOD! He listens the split second I call to him. Complain if you must, but don’t lash out. Keep your mouth shut, and let your heart do the talking. Build your case before God and wait for his verdict.
Why is everyone hungry for more? “More, more,” they say. “More, more.” I have God’s more-than-enough, More joy in one ordinary day Than they get in all their shopping sprees. At day’s end I’m ready for sound sleep, For you, GOD, have put my life back together.”
Psalm 4:3-8 MSG
Picking this scripture apart many parts of describe what God does:
* He listens the split second I call to him.
* I have God’s more-than-enough, More joy in one ordinary day.
* At day’s end I’m ready for sound sleep, For you, GOD, have put my life back together.
God doesn’t only do these things for David, but he does them for us too. I draw a connection from the words David wrote. God listens the split second I call to him. Whether I see it and understand it right when it happens or it takes a little time to set it, God is working. With God I have more than enough joy to fit into one day. I have all the joy in the world. When it’s time for me to put my head on my pillow at night I can sleep peacefully because God has put my life back together. A sinner’s life he’s mended. He’s washed clean. He’s forgiven.
Another part of this verse that stands out is “Keep your mouth shut, and let your heart do the talking.” God doesn’t always have to hear your words. God sees you right down to the core. He sees your heart, what’s real and true. You can’t cover up a heart whether it’s pure or tainted. Let it do the talking for you when you can’t seem to make words. Don’t try to trick God by covering up with words. He cannot be tricked, he sees your heart. He sees your true intentions. He sees your desires. If it’s him or not. So keep your mouth closed and let your heart do the talking. It speaks volumes.
Roller skating is in no way as easy to grasp as learning how to ride a bike. Maybe I’m not
the only person who can’t grab ahold of the concept of kicking off my left. Nevertheless, I had another blast on skates! I love our towns skating rink. Tonight was the first time that I have been since elementary school. Small towns have places and those places hold memories, going back brought back many. I love those kind of experiences. Experiences that make me feel like I’ve never aged a bit. Being young is fun but being channeling my inner kid was a blast!
