God can see behind the mask. He sees the purest and true heart of a person. Your darkest thoughts, deepest secrets, they’re all out in the open with Him. There are no secrets kept from God. For Him it’s like reading an open book. It’s all very clear. Re-evaluate yourself. What is in your heart? Are you holding on to things you need to let go of? Are worldly things taking up God’s space? It’s always good to take a step back and check yourself. Where are your intentions and are they true. You have to learn your heart, God already knows it from left to right. Take that as a security. No matter what others say, God knows the real you, your heart. The heart of a person reveals everything. Only worry about what God is seeing, not what others are saying.

Proverbs 12:18-19 MSG
 When a person is careless with their words reacting before thinking can be a result. The phrase “Think before you speak,” comes to mind. If you’re rash with your words, it’s the complete opposite of that phrase. Words are powerful. The book of James talks about your mouth being a rudder. One part of that scripture even says “Do good and bad water flow from the same spring?” The same mouth we use to speak highly of others is the same mouth we use when we choose tear them down. Proverbs is full of wisdom. Literally, the word wisdom is used on several occasions. The text says “Rash language cuts and maims.” Our words can cut into people. You can do much damage with the language that comes out of your mouth. BUT you can also bring healing. You can uplift and edify the body of Christ. When also speaking about our words and mouth, truth and lies are important. This scripture says “Truth lasts; lies are here today, gone tomorrow.” Lies are temporary, the affects are long term, but the truth always comes out. The truth last forever. Lies are so pointless from the get go, but in some form or fashion, we tell them everyday. Our words have meaning and truth. We shouldn’t abuse that by trying to altercate lies. Don’t waste time on a lie. The truth is as good as it gets. Be careful with your words, with what you say and how you say them. 

Kat Von D vs Anastasia 

Saturday I went into the store that is a girl’s biggest crutch apart from Victoria’s Secret…. Sephora. I knew from the beginning what I was walking in to purchase and surprisingly I stuck with it! It’s about time! These are two products I’ve had my eye on for a while now. KAT VON D Shade + Light Face Contour Refillable Palette retails for $49.00. ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Glow Kit retails for $40.00. I have had the chance to work with both and I am in love! It can definitely be tricky when working with contour shades not to overdue or make it to where it seems like you have literally just rubbed dirt on your face. There are three dark shades in the Kat Von D palette and they all blend beautifully. So far I have used the light shades on the Kat Von D palette on my under eyes and on the bridge of my nose, rather than highlighting parts of my face. The Anastasia palette contains four highlighters and all are impeccable. I definitely reccomend using a fan brush for the Anastasia highlighters and a duo fiber brush when working with the bronzers in Kat Von D. Brushes are a crucial part when working with makeup. It’s not just the product itself it’s the tools you use also that depict the outcome! I give both palettes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It isn’t a necessity to have both in your collection, but both are great products if you are looking to buy! 

Nothing and No One

I love these words. In all versions. There is nothing and no one that can come between you and God. You can’t separate yourself from Him because He will never leave you. You can try your hardest to push him way, but He is always there. No force from the enemy or our enemies here on earth can drive us away from Him. He is here for the long haul. He gave His all for us. Someone who gives everything and puts it all out on the line must really love us, and He does. It’s evident in these scriptures. I’ve been hearing the word evident over and over again. Howver, this is the first time I’ve put it together in this way. God’s love is evident, it is so evident. We can never doubt it. It’s there. It’s unending. It’s forgiving. I love how in different versions of this text it reads “No.” No as in don’t fear, don’t doubt, dont worry. No as in you are a victor. No as in we are concquerors, it says so in the text. No as in there’s no need to question it. No as in don’t hesitate. It also says the “overwhelming victory is ours”, not just the victory but the overwhelming victory. Meaning He has so much for us, more than we can imagine. God loves. He will never leave. And it’s those two statements that mean everything. 

Disney World Senior Trip

A week of living in a fairytale! I could not have asked for a better trip. I am now madly in love with Disney ✨

Closing out Senior Year

Yesterday we shut the door to our High school careers. Literally, we shut our lockers for the last time at Carbon Hill High School. I can’t believe it’s here. I can’t believe I’ll walk, get my diploma, and throw my cap in the air Friday night. It’s surreal. One thing I’ve learned over the past four years is to try and treasure every bit of it. I know at times I wished it away and now I look back and think “why?” Your four years of high school will come to an end soon enough. There’s no need to rush it. There’s also no need in stressing. The test you’ve been studying for you’ll take and it’ll be over with, you’ll finish the research paper you’ve been putting off, and you’ll pass that class (hopefully) even if by an inch. It all comes to pass. Everything that seemed so huge at one point I see as so minuscule now. We always talked about “senior year” it was coming and what we do and how we would be, and we’ve never quite stoppped talking about the infamous “freshman year.” I feel like the Class of 2017 left a mark. We left a spirit that I don’t see in anyone else. Maybe it’s because it’s how we were raised. Our seniors, our freshman year, taught us well. They showed us to go all out. That’s exactly what we did. If I were to describe our class it would be: family. Everyone around us can see it too. We care. We love. We scream at the top of our lungs for everything and everyone. If one thing is for certain, that same spirit will take us far in life. Dedication, a heart for those around us, and the blue blood running through our veins. I’m proud to stand by my 90+ classmates on Graduation and say we did it. We did exactly what we wanted to do. We showed them how it’s done. We are “That Class” forever and always and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Thank you Carbon Hill. You’ve been everything I could ask for.

Royalty

Dad comes running in my room yesterday morning and says “Macey, Macey feel this!” I am instructed to rub his arm. I am entirely confused. He then proceeded to say “You feel that? That’s royal blood running through my veins.” I loved it. Ever since I’ve been seeing waves of solid purple. God has washed poverty and hopelessness off of us, and has drenched us in His royalty. We are His heirs. I am a child of the King. Our bloodline is from the most High God. So walk in that in this new week, royalty, and in the famous words of my mother “Have a great time with Jesus.”

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
